MBA Summer Internship: Investment Banking vs. Economic Consulting

I have two options for an MBA summer internship. One is summer associate in a BB bank, and the other is a summer internship in a Top tier Econ consulting firm (e.g. Cornerstone, Analysis Group, etc).

Econ consulting has better work/life balance and good pay, but not sure about exit options for post-MBA positions.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Long term BB is the way to go! Short term you'll definitely enjoy the economic consulting more. Depends what you're looking for.

I would agree with Reginaldo that long term BB is the way to go. I'd disagree that you'll enjoy economic consulting more in the short term. My friends in those jobs do have better hours but they don't think their work is particularly interesting.
