Merril Lynch FA job question

I went through phone interview and rocked it, the recruiter said i impressed her and destroyed everyone she interviewed before me. She said she was sending a report and to expect a call within 7 days for in person interview, she also said she was emailing me some docs to fill up and fax asap. Well.. that is where the problem started... i received the email and it contained the FINRA Pre-registration long forms to fill up. I answered everything NO, except... the bankruptcy part. I filed for bankruptcy following a nasty divorce where my ex used the free pass she had on my credit to max out ccs and walk out leaving me in debt. I filed for bankruptcy. This is obviously killing my chances for this job but again...what does everyone think?

Tough to say. I would have explained that to them because there is usually a box that gives details regarding the events. Maybe it would be worth an email or call to check up asap
