Merrill Lynch or Ameriprise
Usually I would consider this to be a no brainer. I would pick Merrill Lynch over Ameriprise 99/100 times. However, in this particular situation, I'm not quite sure. Suppose you want to get into PWM, which choice would you choose from the below:
- Merrill Lynch's Practice Management Development (PMD) program
or
- Ameriprise, but working under an advisor with $500+ million in AUM?
MSSB is the place to be for PWM.
Definitely ML and then lateral into PWM after like a year in the PMD program.
