Merrill Lynch or Ameriprise

Usually I would consider this to be a no brainer. I would pick Merrill Lynch over Ameriprise 99/100 times. However, in this particular situation, I'm not quite sure. Suppose you want to get into PWM, which choice would you choose from the below:

  1. Merrill Lynch's Practice Management Development (PMD) program

or

  1. Ameriprise, but working under an advisor with $500+ million in AUM?

Definitely ML and then lateral into PWM after like a year in the PMD program.
