Missed meeting with future boss…
Currently going insane since I messed up and missed my meeting with the head broker who is supposed to sponsor me. After joining and waiting for 10-15 minutes, I checked the meeting details again and it said it was half an hour later. Confused and concerned, I figured I fucked up despite confirming the time with his assistant a week ago. Though it isn’t my first time meeting him, I fear his perception of me is ruined for good. I’ve reached out immediately and am waiting for a response.
Should I have waited longer even though it was a 30 min meeting? How bad did I fuck up? And do you have any recommendations on what to do now?

I'm confused. This sounds like it was a zoom meeting? You joined, waited and he was a no show, which upon further investigation confirmed the meeting was half an hour later? As in, within the next 30 minutes? How did you miss the meeting if you could've just waited longer for it to start, unless I misunderstand something.
It was a zoom meeting, forgot to clarify. I waited 15 mins then assumed I made a mistake (thinking it was 8 instead of 8:30) so went to grab coffee, but it ended up being him that was 20 mins late. So when I joined again at 8:25, he had already logged off. Definitely my mistake for prioritizing coffee and not waiting longer.
Shit happens - after 15 minutes it is not unreasonable for you to log off the meeting without them giving notice of being late. Don't blame yourself here lol as long as the guy isn't unreasonable then everything will be fine.
