Morgan Stanley Second Round

This seems a little unconventional, but my initial interview at Morgan Stanley was at the downtown office and was about 3 hours. It seemed like it went pretty well. They told me the second round interview is going to a phone call, and they are going to assess my phone communication skills. This internship is labeled "Finance and Marketing Intern" and it seems like my main objectives would be trying to bring in clients while working directly under a high-net worth wealth advisor.

What should I expect in this phone interview, since they already no me and have asked me most typical interview questions?

What are your thoughts on this internship for an undergraduate sophomore who wants to get into IB hopefully after Junior year or even summer after sophomore year? I am hoping I can network into MS's IBD.

thanks

This sounds like PWM and cold-calling on your part. It might suck for a large part of it if you dislike cold-calling, but it's probably a solid one to have (the MS brand is undeniably good for your resume) for future recruiting. I don't know anything about your application/profile but networking into MS IBD the summer following your sophomore year sounds like it'd be a reach (but not impossible), but you could likely leverage this into some sort of IB somewhere, which would set you up well for junior year summer recruiting.
