Most important credential / degree / certificate for asset management type jobs ?

Hello

First time poster, and MBA student at a state university. I wanted to ask you guys what do you consider to be the "best" credential/etc for Asset Management type jobs ? What do clients and potential employers like the most ?

Of the many that exist, the following seem to be more common

CFP (note I could care less about insurance guidance or how a widow should handle her estate)
CMT (I do have an interest in technical analysis)
CIMA
CFA
MBA
CPA

Etc ?

I also have an interest in stock analyst/equities analyst type jobs, FWIW.

Thank You

1 CFA 2 MBA (Assuming you mean non-target or semi-target).

Also, an MSF is usually better than an MBA for AM.

Haha CMT. I wonder if the horoscope-readers could have predicted that Carl Icahn's comments were going to move the markets today (which screws up future "analysis").

I forgot to mention that i was talking about a degree at a ug level; i guess it's bachelor in finance :-). Anyway, why Master? Does it stand better than CFA?
