Most Useful Sophomore Summer Internship for Junior Year IB?

Wanted to see what the best option would be for junior year IB recruiting and job preparation. Looking to work in Houston energy IB.

Going into my sophomore year at a semi-target uni and I'm trying to weigh out possible options for sophomore summer.

Options:

  • Assurance/Audit internship at mid-tier accounting firm (GT, BDO, RSM, FORVIS)
  • Advisory internship at mid-tier accounting firm (GT, BDO, RSM, FORVIS)
  • Tax/Audit internship at Big 4 Firm (possibly Discover program at Deloitte, Start at PWC, or similar role)
  • Finance internship at WM firm
  • Accounting internship at industry firm (Lockheed, Boeing, Petroleum/Energy Company)
  • Finance internship at industry firm (Lockheed, Boeing, Petroleum/Energy Company)
  • Other roles?

Any input is appreciated. Still trying to learn as much as I can about this industry and what I can do to best prepare for my future.
