Move to Colorado?
If I can earn 250k base and a 25% bonus to live anywhere in the country, where should I go? Just got married, want to have kids in the next few years, firm is remote and don't care where I live. Colorado looks beautiful - thoughts? Not sure how future proofed it is to like a Connecticut or NY state as there isn't much PE there but curious to get thoughts.
Colorado is great, beautiful hills all around, close to nature, relatively affordable. Might be great for family but like you said future-proofing might not be strong.
I remember a thing couple years back how big companies allowed people to WFH from anywhere in the States except Colorado due to salary disclosure law or something.
Is that not applicable to you?
Thanks! I have no idea what that law is. Most of the company is in California and NY but they don't care where I'm located.
Wyoming, better mountains and no taxes
Wyoming has like no people though lol
Consider Nashville/Tennessee. Also has zero taxes and you’re about 1 hour flight of Miami and 3 hours of East Coast.
Not everything is about taxes.. Nashville is so overrated.. grew too fast too much and is just not a cohesive place. I prefer Knoxville to Nashville but it is just a tiny university town. Tennessee is great overall though if you like outdoors.
