Munich as a non-german
I'm interviewing with a fund in Munich and about to have my final round.
However, I'm a bit unsure about moving there as a Black, non-German speaker. What’s the social life like over there?
I’m more of a short-ditch person who enjoys going to techno parties and really liked Berlin. But I’ve heard from peers that Munich is very different (boring) and can be quite unwelcoming or even racist towards non-White people. Does anyone have any experiences or insights?
Not gonna sugar coat it, southern Germany will be tougher for you as a black guy than western Germany or Berlin. Munich is pretty big and diverse though
Munich is racist towards everything that doesn't come from Bavaria. But have a look around the "Ostbahnhof" and check out the OBVS events.
