Nearly two weeks after HR phone screen without any hear back, should I keep waiting?
Last Monday, I had a phone interview with a French-headquartered CIB in London for a middle-office internship. I received the call less than a week after submitting my application.
The HR asked about my previous internship experience, how my skills matched the JD, my availability to start full-time, and my salary expectations. The call lasted around 20 minutes, and I did not feel that anything went particularly badly.
Before ending the call, HR mentioned that they needed to wait for the manager to return before moving forward.
It has now been nearly two weeks since the interview, and I have not heard anything back. I also do not seem to have a way to follow up, as the call came from a general office number and I do not have the recruiter’s email address.
At this point, should I just continue waiting? Is a two-week delay normal when the hiring manager is unavailable, or is this basically a silent rejection at this point?
Any insight would be appreciated.
You don’t have any other options but to wait. You’re most likely going to get ghosted so keep it moving
