Need guidance on next moves for unorthodox career

So I am confused on a few things and am requesting some advice on my career. I am actually a pretty private person but am posting in this forum because I have much respect for this community and the work ethic, discipline, and effort you must have to succeed in high finance. Please be warned this post is long and I apologize in advance for the poor grammar. I’ve been writing in bullet points so long I forget how to write in complete sentences. I am working on it. Also please know that any cursing/comments made are in good jest. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I actually read all of that. One answer is to be a GMAT splitter with your GPA and get a 720+. You don't want to be a lawyer. Judging from your writing style, you would be a terrible lawyer. Focus on getting good recommendations and study hard for the GMAT. There are books of successful HBS essays - you need to read their style of writing to be able to craft a successful application to crack the top 10 MBA, which is where you want to go.

Just drop the bullet points and write paragraphs. Even if they don't relate, just separate the text for the love of God.

Also, put some icing on the cake if you're applying. Maybe join the board of a non-profit. Volunteer somewhere - contribute your skills to the community. USMC Captain will look good on your resume for T10 MBA. Embrace your proven leadership successes in your application.
