So I applied to an internship with UBS. They tried to call me today to schedule an interview, I didn't answer, I was in an exam, my phone was in my bag in silent mode. They then sent me a message, saying that they wanted to schedule an interview, this is what the message looked like:
"Dear mr. derp, you applied to the internship blah blah blah and we would like to organize an interview. Can you please call me back at 0000000 or write me an email (at [email protected]) so we can arrange the interview. Thank you and kind regards. UBS AG"
Here's my question, the starting date for this position is "as soon as possible". I mentionned in my application that I'm only available starting from october 10-15th so they must know that I'm not available to start this internship, if I get it, in july. Surely the know this right?
One reason I think they're interested in my application is because I wrote a 35 page paper at uni concerning what I'd be doing with the UBS team if I get this internship.
I'm currently right in the middle of my exams, I'm studying from sunrise to sunset every single day and this until june 18th. Do you think I can ask for an interview after this date? I'm so busy and I don't think I'll be able to do an interview during my exams/studying time, I won't have time to prepare the interview.
If yes, how would you guys mention it a proper way?

I'm pretty sure that you can find 30 minuts to talk with them. If they want to talk to you to start "as soon as possible" I'd call them now.
Why? Because it looks like you will finish your BA without work experience, if you miss this opportunity, you might not have an other one for this summer/october without really good networking!
The longer you wait to get back to them, the least likely you are to get the internship.
