Networking after getting internship

Hi WSO

I am wondering if is okay to network with your group prior to joining a firm as a summer analyst. I do not know much about my group and cannot find much information online about it and really want to be able to prepare adequately for my internship. I do not want to be annoying however to the bankers in my group or seem like I am already trying to network for a FT offer. How should I approach this issue?

Yes, that's what group placement is for. Most top groups already have their top candidates before placement day, so your supposed to network with them. If it's a bank where groups are given, then no need to network.
