Networking events important? Choosing between Bain, MS and Blackrock
I have received three invitations for networking event at Bain, MS and Blackrock and would like to hear your inputs.
MS and Blackrock is normal networking event at their company, where Bain is a boat party which sounds cool af. Unfortunately they all lie on the same day, which I guess is not a coincidence?
I am more lenient towards finance with IB and AM, but I like to keep my options open where Bain could be an option. This is also where I would like to ask the importance to networking events, how great of a opportunity is it to get your name out before applying for internships at such networking events?
Networking is huge. Big risk for any work culture where you're putting in real hours is that you don't gel with the team. Networking events are a good way for them to figure out who they would be ok spending 100 hours a week with.
