Networking from Target School?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently a freshman at an ivy league business school and I'm trying to figure out how to go about networking? I'd imagine it would have been easier in prior years due to the fact that there was no pandemic, but in these circumstances how should I reach out to alumni and make connections to secure a BB internship sophomore/junior summer?

If you're a freshman, just search up any finance-related internship for this summer. Good bet is looking up alumni that are running search funds. It's basically just sourcing and unpaid, but you'll be remote anyways. Just network casually, like two emails a week.

Not OP but in a similar boat. How should we go about networking into a Search Fund? Should we straight up ask the alumni running it if we could intern there or should we look to schedule an informational interview type of thing?
