So it seems you are more of a BO role for GS PWM? I only say this since you are not in a revenue generating group, but rather monitoring them, then again you mentioned management so it still seems like a solid gig, if I were you I would get more information on the job. Congrats on your offer.

I can speak to this pretty in depth, and PM me if you want more information.

I'm assuming you are working GS PWM Management- you aren't going to do any sort of classic 'finance' work, dealing with clients, etc, but you will work with a lot of people within GS. The advantage to this spot for FT is that it means incredibly good job security- obviously that doesn't matter much for a SA position. However, I can't stress enough the importance of getting exposure to very very senior people at the firm, which any position in management will give you- this is the best role in PWM if you want to have a good connection and someone to vouch for you to move potentially to IBD or another division at the firm (because they are interacting regularly with other divisions). The negative of working in management is that the skills are not transferrable to a hard finance position- IBD, AM, etc. So while it can do wonders for you inside GS and within PWM, it is a tough sell if you try to get recruited by other firms for FT or in the future.

Long story short

Experience in terms of finance will be worse- more seeing how a company is run/managed Experience in terms of networking, stability, and exposure to important people- way better

If this is jr. summer and you aren't able to get any IBD offers I would say take it in a heartbeat. If it is your sophomore summer take it and don't look back. If it is junior summer the only way I would not accept is if I had IBD offers with pretty top tier banks. GS PWM is a good place to be.
