no background check?
I just got an offer at UBS hong kong private bank. I was expecting the forms for backgrounc check with my contract and team pooling agreement. However I did not see any of the forms. The only thing they asked is a copy of my degree certificate to submit so that the compliance team can apply for a working permit at the immigration office. I was introduced to this position by a client of their's.
Does anyone know why is this the case? Just because the introduction they wave the background check??
Most likely not because of your connection. The US is much more stringent about background checks than HK is.
