no on campus recruiting, no relavent prof. experience HELP

I have a question.

My b-school does not have OCR :(

I am taking an internship this summer at a BB in Hong Kong.

I am trying to get into Equity Research either buy side or sell side for a full time position.

I have no relavent professional experience.

I am very concerned that I would not be able to find a full time position after this summer since my school does not have OCR.

Can you guys give me some pointers as to what's the right direction to approach this?

I will point you to the search function....because this has been asked before...

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

C'mon dude, I think this situation is specific enough to warrant a thread. I will, however, fault the OP for being too vague. OP, I would help, but I'm really not qualified to, sorry. Good luck.

laterally transfer over to the US. Work with your manager/recruiters after working your ass off this summer. Having a BB summer experience in ER in HK will make you very competitive for FT in HR in the US, especially if you did well there and get a full time offer back. You would have a logical story that you got interested in ER, did that for a summer and loved it but wanted to work in NY more.

I am not sure if I can latteral transfer. It's very frowned upon for a lot of BB in Hong Kong to have people transfer to the USA.
