Non-covertible buyside internship when searching for an IBD FT role

Hi guys,

I've heard that applying for IBD FT graduate and other IBD FT roles during work at a decent non-covertible buyside internship might not be perceived well by recruiters and interviewers. On one side banks might think you are interested more in buyside rather than advisory roles, on another you are more experienced and you know clients better.

It also might be more time consuming simultaneusly working and applying but that's manageable. What are your thoughts on that
