Non-Target Schools: Breaking In

Coming from a non-target school where more and more kids are actually getting front office gigs (maybe 5 this year?), I've been told how much harder breaking in is for us.

For those of you that made it from a non-target, and probably met a lot of guys from targets, where there any major differences about your process from their to getting SA or FT? Or is it always: "be smart, bust ass, network...repeat"?
