Nontechnical investment banking interview
just had an interview for a boutique (ab 30 employees) investment bank sophomore internship.
I applied as a STEM student so I guess I had a non traditional background. I made it through both a phone and hirevue and they invited me to a final round which I did via zoom.
However for one reason or another I didn't receive a single technical questions despite weeks of prep. Has anyone had this experience?
Also the interview which was supposed to be 1 hour long which I assume would have at least some technicals was only 30 minutes long.
I could come up with 3 reasons:
They didn't ask any applicants any technicals (rare but I have heard of these).
They saw my STEM background and just assumed I didn't know any technicals.
I did so terrible during the fit portion they didn't bother asking me technicals.
Anyone have similar experience before?
