Ok to reach out to person who posted job in advance of applying with questions etc?
I recently saw a posting on my school's job board for an IB analyst position with an elite boutique. The job was posted by an analyst.
Last week I had a solid networking call with another analyst at the bank who I happen to know is good friends with the guy who posted the job.
Should I reach out to my contact and ask him to connect me with his friend who posted the job so I ask ask some questions etc.
I'm just concerned this may be slightly bad form - ie. wouldnt everyone want to network with the person screening resumes for the job they want?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Most people won't. Go ahead and reach out.
Thanks a lot I will do that
