Okay to ask for Contact Info?

I spoke to someone briefly at the end of an informational session and he seemed very sincere in his willing to pass along some advise. I did not get his business card but I wanted to thank him and follow up. Would it be okay to contact the head recruiter who organized the event and ask for an email contact? Also I do not have a last name but I do have his first name and the department he works in. Thanks.

Of course. I contacted HR before and they've been pretty helpful. In fact, HR people are some of the more "nice" people who work in banks.
