Operations vs. RE Broker firm

Hello WSO, i just graduated from a non-target State school and got suckered into doing Operations at a satellite office doing pointless work.

I have an offer with a mid size real estate brokerage firm doing portfolio analysis, management meeting to create revenue streams, and field training with professional real estate agents. They said i can cater the work towards my interest like management, brokerage, purchasing etc. But the problem is they only offer a $1000 monthly stipend and commission.

Should i take the offer and ditch OPS? the RE firm is located in Midtown.

Thanks in advance for advice.

DeterminedHow is this a difficult decision to make?

Depends on what you are interested in...

While ops at some bank in my opinion could give more gearing (technical skills) towards a role in banking, the RE gig might be more challenging - given that you could actually do the things they promise you.

So what do you want to do, OP?
