Opinion on using cold contact and still applying if ignored, awkward if you get an interview?

I was just curious if anyone has any experience or insight for applying to a position online if you find someone in that company/ position and attempted to cold contact them.

If they ignore you and you still apply and get an interview, is it awkward?

I know this is more of a paranoia question but I was curious if anyone had any insight.

Wouldn't it be weird if you cold contacted them say through linked in, they ignored you, you got an interview and then have to potentially work with them?

I don't think so. Just don't bring it up in the interview like "hey you ignored my emails". Focus on the interview itself.

thanks for the heads up, pretty much what i was thinking too. I guess I'll go ahead and submit the application and the attempt to reach out to the contact as well.
