Overcoming resume "stigma"

A friend of a friend managed to pull some strings and get me an interview with a high-profile HF. To be honest, I'm probably underqualified -- my experience is in cap markets when LevFin/Sponsors/Research would be much better fits, though I don't think this role is modeling-heavy.

I'm concerned I'm not going to be taken seriously because of my current group / job responsibilities. My resume emphasizes what little analytical / valuation work I do but feel like it won't fool anyone. That said, I have done a lot of reading in the past few months on concepts that might be important (sad to say I read that "for fun" in some of my work downtime because I'm genuinely interested in it). I'm pretty confident in myself and want to be able to convince them I deserve the job and am on top of my shit -- at least that I'm smart enough and know enough for them to give me serious consideration.

Any thoughts?
