Past internship requirements to get interview for BB/EB FT programmes (London)
I have a query about past internship experience required in order to get called for interviews for full-time analyst programmes at bulge brackets and the top boutiques in London.
Realistically, is it necessary to have done an internship with one of these banks previously in order to be considered? i.e. if applying to a bulge bracket, is it necessary to have completed an internship at another bulge bracket or top boutique?
Or would an internship with a MM bank be considered sufficient?
Any insights much appreciated!
Can't speak for London, but for NY, it is not necessary but helpful to have relevant experience whether it is a BB/MM/boutique. I know people who interned for credit risk in the summer and landed IB FT at a BB. Luck plays a lot into this.
Okay thanks for the input!
