PE Firms recruiting young bankers? What is your experience?
Hey,
Skimming over dealbook this morning, I read an article about how junior bankers (think 6 months out of college) were being courted by PE funds (the likes of Carlyle, Apollo).

This sounds like a great opportunity for a lot of young bankers, I'm assuming that a lot of this courting is happening at BB IBs, but I am probably wrong.
Curious to hear from others. My opinion does not matter much since I am working at a PE fund in a frontier market, but am curious to gauge the appetite of MFs for young finance professionals.
Have you received any such offers? If so, can you explain the process a bit, and if you are able to disclose, what type of offers have you received?
Cheers!
This is an excellent example of an ideal troll post. Straddles the line between absurdity and credibility.
