Performance Analyst - Fixed Income and Equities
A performance analyst is held accountable for calculating and providing performance measurement and reporting risk management analysis to clients. The analyst interprets the return and risk reporting to the bank. The analyst will learn to generate and understand various equity and fixed income analyses.
I understand the general overview of these roles and risk measurement is an area that shows high growth and promise for the future.
My question -
does anyone have any experience in one of these roles? and what is a typical day like for one of these analysts?
what is a typical interview like for one these positions? and what questions should be expected?
how does this position differ from a research or credit analyst?
what equations should you know? and what statistics should you have in your back pocket to be ready to use?
is this a good way to break into credit, sales, and trading?
any other experiences with a Performance Analyst Position
Disclosure: I've worked as a Credit Analyst and Research Analyst and I know some of the answers.. I'm not asking here because I am totally blind to the functions of banking, I am simply trying to generate discussion and help some of the juniors out with what to expect in various roles. Thanks for your input!
