Please help - advice needed on FT recruiting

Just got the return from a coverage group, which I am really amped about. Have a pretty strong connection with an alum at another bank's same coverage area (which is one of the best on the street - mine is good, but don't think nearly same levels on exits / experience). I was planning to reach out to the alum to see if they have any FT spots now that internships are wrapping up. Only issue is there is another alum in my current group and they are friends. Assuming that the alum at other bank told his buddy in my group (where I will likely come back), how bad would this look? Is it worth reaching out?
