Possible career paths after a Commercial Banking SA?

I will doing a summer internship at a large bank within their commercial banking division this summer. I pivoted late in my college career after planning on going to grad school for bio research and this will be my only experience in financial services. Unfortunately, the internship is in a location I do not see myself returning to due to personal reasons. I heard it's possible to change locations for FT but it's not guaranteed.

I'm plan on recruiting full-time during the summer. What is the feasibility of landing a different role with a thin background? I'm open to a lot of roles in banking, though I am biased toward higher paying roles. Also any advice for FT recruiting during a summer would be appreciated.
