Possible M&A Business Development Analyst intern wanting to see how to rotate into M&A IB Analyst Intern position.
Goal:
As the title stated, I want to see what moves I should make in order to obtain an M&A IB Analyst Intern role if hired as Business Dev Analyst Intern.
Background:
I love this Boutique IB--it's a target of mine. When I saw that they had an Analyst position I read the job description and learned that it was for Business Dev.
I've heard of analysts moving from roles in Business Dev to IB Analyst at this bank in the past, however, I'm worried that this might be a thing in the past and that they might just want to buckle down their Business Dev interns in their respected role (no confirmation on this just a worry).
This is an on going internship--would love to stay at this place if given an offer but I would prefer not to be in Business Dev for the rest of my time there, respectfully.
