Product Control Analyst (Controller's Office) at Goldman Sachs?
Hey Monkeys,
So, I got an offer from GS as a Product Control Analyst in the West coast, and I am wondering about exit opps, salary, etc. Would I be able to land an elite MBA after two years (H/S/W, Kellogg, etc)? And what would the comp be?
Zero to non. Controllers is a BO function. I'd keep looking for jobs.
It's the Controller's office, so I know it is BO. I've had a lot of people tell me that even though it is BO, it's Goldman. Just having the name on my resume would open doors. Is that not the case?
Are your interviews next monday, in a particularly salty city?
Nope. But they are in Salt Lake City. It may not be something I'd do long term, but if I can get an MBA out of it, I'd do it. I'd definitely stay my analyst term.
Yes you can of course get into any business school you want, you just need more substance than a job at GS. Anyone telling you that you can't is outright wrong. Basically, this will not be the deciding factor into whether or not you get in, but you need a lot more reasons to make a compelling case for your admission.
