Proper HR protocol
Hi Guys. Quick question for y'all. Lets say you cold email a banker, and he forwards your email to HR. Then HR responds with something like, "Hi, thanks for your interest. Could you please send your CV?". You send it.. and then what? Do you wait a bit and then call them? Or follow up email? Or nothing? Is it a dead end situation?
Thanks.
It really depends on the firm. I have spoke with a few people from HR and they have all asked for my resume. After sending it, I would hear back from 60% of them.
OKay. So what would you advise in this situation? Call or email in a few days?
I would call in the next few days asking to talk over coffee to talk about the recruiting process or if he/she had received your email. If HR does not pick up, I would move on.
I emailed today. HR said, " We will be in contact if a suitable opportunity arises given your experience". ... Is that a blow off?
