Question about Internship Application

I will be a junior next year at Duke and preparing to apply for summer internships for next summer. I'm a math major with a GPA of around 3.8. I have developed over the last two years an interest in investing in stocks and educating myself about the stock market. Last year, I recorded a 42,000$ profit. I plan on definitely mentioning this fact on my internship applications. My question is how much will this help me get a summer internship at the top banks and possible later for an analyst or associate positions?
