Question about Jobs/Internships

First I would like to say that I am new so if this is in the wrong section I apologize, direct me to the right area and I will post this there.

I am at a bit of a loss in terms of what to do. All of my job experience is either manual labor, retail or volunteering. What are some jobs/ internships I should look for to help strengthen my resume? Where should I look for them?

I am a sophomore at a Comm College (I intend to transfer) so that may hurt my chances at getting some Finance related work, but if you guys can give me some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

You should head over to UCONN next Tuesday and/or Wednesday for their career fair... Just crash that shit brah, I've done it a few times. Send me a PM with your resume if you want, I would just be going over the normal formatting stuff to get you set up a little better.

As far as finding a place to intern, you have to just start networking. Have you had any accounting classes yet? I know it's not finance, but you may want to start there because it's a good, practical 'next step,' and finding an accounting internship might be a little easier.

Rest assured, though, you are on the right path. This concern, and these questions are good signs that you are ready to take action for your career. I am sure you are far more ambitious than your peers, otherwise you probably wouldn't have registered on this site. Hang around here, figure out what you want, and start networking.

Best of luck, and send that over if you want.
