Quick Advice needed regarding time zones

Hey all,

I am currently in Chicago (CST) and was asked to have a phone call with someone in who is in Sweden. They said the call would be at " 14:00 CET". I looked up the time difference and CET is currently +6 CST, but Sweden is +7 CST right now as they follow CEST (Central European Summer Time). Is it normal to say CET but mean CEST since Sweden is CET for half the year? Just want to confirm with you guys rather than the interviewer to make it at least seem like I'm competent enough to understand time zones lol
