Quick Interview Question
I have a first round interview coming up that I really want to land and I know that I will get the "walk me through your resume/tell me about yourself" question right off the bat. Although I have a pretty good response for this question, I find that I have a problem with the chronology of the story. For example I go into where I am from, how I got interested in the field and finally what led to me to pursuing the degree I am in now, and which eventually brings me to the interview.
I find that if I try to introduce my semi-relevant work experience where it shows up chronologically, (around the time I decided to go to school for my degree) my story sounds less fluid and more choppy. Would it be okay to to break up my story into what led me academically to where I am now and then afterwards discuss my work experience in chronological order? Thanks.
