Quit PE due to burn out and looking to do something else

Hey guys, I quit my PE job a few months back because I was severely burnt out. I worked in two funds, one MF (for 1.5 years) and LMM (for 0.5 years). I honestly thought LMM would be better in terms of the WLB, however it turned out to be a lot worse, and I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm now considering what to do and if I should maybe go for Investor Relations somewhere (heard WLB is better there). Do you have any advice how to break in and how to justify my story (i.e switching funds and quitting)?

IR can be bad as well. If you're not fundraising then you're not really needed - the "client service" stuff when the round is complete doesn't require a big team.

I'd recommend looking to work for a family office.

Thank you, I am thinking of larger companies though as didn't like the vibe of the small place in an LMM. Do you have any advice which other roles could be good either in funds or banks? I have a Masters degree in STEM field (focus on ML) so was thinking if I could do a quant role, was doing bunch of ML stuff in my free time over last 2 years.
