Re-recruiting for full time senior year

I have a 3.9 at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration and am working an investment banking internship at a small bank in NYC this summer. I'm thinking about recruiting for different banks following this internship for a variety of reasons:

- not too happy with the pay

- Not sure if i want to be in new york

- dont love the firm environment

I wanted to get a sense of what it was like to recruit for full time positions as a senior in college and having an internship at a smaller bank for my junior summer as well as hearing thoughts on whether I should try recruiting for larger firms. Also wanted to know any recommendations / timelines and how to even approach the entire situation as I'm feeling pretty lost with it all as I don't really know any people working in banking. Would likely be recruiting for sf, la, ny
