Received an interview invitation, after responding to the email I was told it was a mistake...

Hello,

I faced a strange situation a few days ago and I was wondering if anybody has ever heard of similar situations?

I received an interview invitation from a known financial services company a few days ago. After responding to the email with the times that work best for me, I received an email back that there was a "glitch" in the system and that I wasn't supposed to receive the first email...

Do things like this happen often in such companies? I was really disappointed but nicely thanked them for their time...

A couple weeks ago I received a voice mail wondering why I didn't confirm my interview date with a BB, when I was never contacted in the first place. I still don't know whether they called me by mistake or somehow never sent me an email invite in the first place.

Happens man, i was actually offered a position, and then they said 'ha woops nope budget issues sorry have a nice day.'

My drinkin' problem left today, she packed up all her bags and walked away.

You guys are right, I have nothing else to do but to keep on... glad it wasn't my only interview invitation... I guess everything happens for a reason :)

Kenny, your situation is even worse :(
