Received an interview invitation, after responding to the email I was told it was a mistake...

Wow. That must suck. No things like this dont really happen. Especially known financial companies, not sure what the situation was.

Aww, that's so awful! I would have been pissed!! I wonder what happened..don't let this discourage you though! All you can do is move on & keep trying.

Sorry about that mate, but like Moni said, don't get discouraged.

I've received dozens of rejection e-mails and very few that have turned into any type of leads, as I'm sure you have also. Numbers game, just gotta keep trucking along.

A couple weeks ago I received a voice mail wondering why I didn't confirm my interview date with a BB, when I was never contacted in the first place. I still don't know whether they called me by mistake or somehow never sent me an email invite in the first place.

Happens man, i was actually offered a position, and then they said 'ha woops nope budget issues sorry have a nice day.'

You guys are right, I have nothing else to do but to keep on... glad it wasn't my only interview invitation... I guess everything happens for a reason :)

I got an email congratulating me on accepting an offer when I didn't get one

Back in January I got an interview invitation from PWP. Emailed them back my availability. No response, emailed them again with no response. Never did hear back from them. Figured it was a mistake since I'm a sophomore at a non target haha.

this happened to me with bbh too! got a nice follow up email apologizing for the mistake, but definitely strange.
