Recruiting Season- Differences Between Schools?

Been seeing a lot on this site recently about students even from Ivy Leagues and "targets" being underprepared and lower quality compared to years past. Those who interviewed candidates this year, have you seen kids from certain schools exceeding your expectations? Any schools that disappointed? Currently a freshman at a target and want to see how my school stacks up and how much I will need to prepare outside of the "tried and true" resources my upperclassmen friends and professors recommend. Also believe this is more useful than the blind prestige rankings that oversaturate this site and will help current high school seniors who undoubtedly will check this forum see what schools currently are crushing it in 2022.
