There are so many threads on Summer Analyst recruitment timelines, but virtually no threads on Summer Associate timelines. So if I'm pursuing a summer 2022 IB Summer Associate internship, what month/date should I expect for application deadlines to end, and what month/dates will super days tend to be hosted? How do those dates compare from BB and EB firms, and with smaller boutique IB firms?

Interviews are now through early January depending on your school, with non-core happening now and the top schools happening later.
Applications are usually due in November or early December.
for associates, your application and interview are really just a check the box thing and a formality. Decisions are made by groups / school teams long before you get into the interview room.
This is interesting, could you please expand on how candidates are already chosen before you apply? Is it from informal chats with alumni?
