There is no way you can predict what schools will accept you! The top MBA programs do accept people from Google etc. I would go with what I truly enjoy. If you go into a job thinking about 5 years out... you'll suffer alot!
Yes.. I did that exactly: Software engg -> MBA. Honestly, getting into an MBA school is all about spinning a good story.
'Completely agree with what @jojome said above - go with what you truly enjoy (SB'ed). I would add that 'what you truly enjoy' will (not 'may') change over time as it did for me. When (its not an 'if') that happens have the balls to get up and make the damn change you want
