Renege on offer
I recently got another offer from a firm that is a better group and better exits and a lot better pay. But before I got that offer I accepted another and went through all the background check and everything. I know it’s obviously bad to do this, but its hard for me to accept a lot less money for a worst opportunity. Would like to hear thoughts, could be thinking about this wrong. Also nothing in the contract says I can’t renege.
Everyone does it all the time - just be very polite about it and vague as possible if they ask about the other opportunity you're pursuing. In this tough market, it's always important to look out for yourself.
