Resigning on Friday - advice please

So a few months back, I posted a discussion highlighting my current situation. You can find the discussion here: http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/how-to-go-about-leaving-current-j…

Finally after many interviews and lots of "doctor appointments", I was able to land an analyst role at a tech firm in NYC. It's a great position and I'm glad I waited for the right offer to come across my plate. The big question I have is, does anyone have any experience/advice/best ways to tell my boss the news?

Like I said in my original post, my office is VERY small and my resignation will most likely come as a total surprise. The company handbook states that I will have the whole 2 weeks thing, but I can't imagine they will honor that, as I have no clients and my days are filled with internet surfing and not much work - so keeping me around for 2 weeks would only cost them money and add no real value. But, that's something I will find out Friday.

I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say, thanks in advance!
