Resume/CV Referral to HR in UK
When recruiting comes around, I want to ask some of my connections to forward my CV onto HR. How would you go about asking this? Saw some other forums but had no clear answer. Can an analyst still have any influence on HR at a U.K. IB?

This is bank dependant. Some banks rely a lot on the Analysts in the early stages while others don't at all.
In my experience, I've never asked directly, more like at the end of a call you ask if there's anything else he recommends to maximise the chances of getting an interview. Most people get the queue (but only some will pick it up and help out).
If you want to ask your friends, just be straightforward.
I don’t know how much analyst referral counts, I’ve been referred then rejected from European BBs while I got interviews without referral or any prior networking at US BB/EBs ... tbh I think they couldn’t care less about analyst referral
