Rethinking Internship

I got two summer IB Analyst offers from boutique banks. One paid $4K a month in an extremely low-cost-of-living city. The other ONLY covered housing which will be about $1600-$1700/month.

I accepted an offer from the latter bc they had bigger deals at the firm, I liked the city more, and it seemed a pinch more prestigious. On top of this, I accepted an offer to intern at Harris Williams’ 2-week Bootcamp.

I am now second guessing my decision to work at a place that doesn’t even pay me for my work!!! I know I won’t be adding much value anyways, but I wish they would at least pay for food, toiletries, and other essentials.

Thankfully I have some money in my savings, so I won’t be hurting for cash. But it still hurts.

Should I just suck it up and intern there anyways? (I know I should, but I just need someone to tell me this 😭).
