Rising Junior: Advice Needed?

Hey guys,

I just recently came across this forum while googling how to break into investment banking. There are some great experiences on this forum and I'm hoping to get some advice. My problem is that I haven't been seriously considering IB until this summer so I'm kind of behind in terms of recruiting for next year.

Some things about me -3.7 GPA at Target with Finance Related major + 3 minors -1st year summer: starting education consulting company in China - signed 4-5 clients -this summer: real estate investment and government jobs at the same time.

Basically, I went into college thinking that I want to explore everything before determining a career. While doing real estate, I found that I'm very bored with all of the cold calling and running around that realtors have to do yet I enjoyed some of the underwriting and financial analysis required. So I'm wondering about what I should do to place myself in a position for SA next year.

My questions are: -Is it too late (or even worth it) to be attempting to break into a Boutique in order to strengthen my resume -Or should I attempt to just network this summer and work really hard in fall to secure as many interviews as possible -Would an interviewer look down upon my resume compared to someone who did PWM/Boutique all 2 years?

Sorry about sounding insecure, I'm honestly not too sure about what I should do to prepare myself.

Thanks in advance for your insight.
