Rising senior looking for an IB internship for the upcoming summer - advice appreciated

Hi everyone, I'm a junior without an internship for this summer, which I know is my fault but am looking for some advice. Some info about me: target school, 3.9 GPA, lack of previous IB experience & virtually no network, self-studied technicals

At this point, it's pretty late, and I'm looking at small regional boutique firms. Is there a point still networking and asking for informational calls, or should I outright cold email them and ask if they're interested in taking an intern?

Any other advice on how to navigate this or on recruiting in general would also be greatly appreciated, thank you guys
